How to set up IPTV on an Amazon Firestick or Fire TV
The Firestick is the device we recommend most often: cheap, fast enough for 4K on the newer models, and it works on any TV with an HDMI port.

Step by step
- On your Firestick go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.
- From the home screen, search for the Downloader app and install it.
- Open Downloader and enter the download URL we send you for the player app, then press Go.
- When the file downloads, choose Install, then Done, then delete the installer file to save space.
- Open the player, choose Add user → Login with Xtream Codes API and enter the username, password and portal URL from your activation email.
- Let the channels and the TV guide load, then start watching.
Tips from our support team
- A Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max handles 4K channels comfortably; the basic Lite model is best kept to HD.
- Restart the stick once a week — it clears the cache and prevents most 'suddenly buffering' complaints.
- Do not run a VPN and a low-power stick together unless you need to; it costs you decoding headroom.
If something goes wrong
Nine times out of ten a problem at this stage is one of three things: a typo in the portal URL, the wrong login type selected in the app, or the box not having finished downloading the channel list. Close the app completely, reopen it and give it a minute before trying anything else.
